Your highly efficient individual solution from a single source

Whether specialist rotary kilns, moving-bed shaft furnaces or burn-out chambers – we offer a wide range of plant technologies for the disposal of conventional ammunition.

We have particular expertise in demanding systems for the disposal of chemical warfare agents. Our comprehensive solution portfolio in the areas of residual material, exhaust air and wastewater treatment enables us to combine a wide range of processes for environmentally sound and safe disposal. This ensures smooth interaction and minimises operating costs.

Our plant technologies for the disposal of conventional ammunition

The rotary kiln for small-calibre ammunition and smaller projectiles

The moving-bed shaft furnace (WBS) for larger projectiles

The burn-out chamber for the removal of residues from steel parts or the recovery of valuable materials

A system is modernised

The ammunition disposal system built in 2011, comprising a moving-bed shaft furnace (WBS), rotary kiln and burn-out chambers, is being modernised as part of a retrofit, and the WBS – the heart of the system – is being renewed.

The complete solution for your complex task

Several completed systems for the disposal of chemical warfare agents demonstrate how important it is to have a plant engineering partner at your side who understands all the necessary interrelationships and can not only plan but also deliver the appropriate plant technology.

Using the system shown as an example, the various process steps are illustrated:

Module 1: Incineration of liquid waste via a high-turbulence combustion chamber (Turaktor)

Module 2: Effective flue gas cleaning of the produced exhaust air to clean gas quality

Module 3: Wastewater disposal of effluents from the flue gas cleaning to discharge quality

Good data collection during the planning phase is important for optimum design. We are happy to support you with this.
