Rotary Kiln
Made of steel or internally refractory-lined, a versatile plant technology for residual material processing.

Rotary kilns are used for the thermal treatment of solids and viscous materials, and can be manufactured entirely in steel or with refractory lining. They are versatile in application, e.g. for sewage and oil sludges, shredder residues.
Depending on the calorific value of the feed material, rotary kilns are designed for co-current or counter-current operation. The rotary kiln is particularly advantageous for special waste applications. Combined with the appropriate flue gas cleaning system, statutory requirements are met.
Good data collection during the planning phase is important for optimum design. We are happy to support you with this.

Our experienced team provides everything you need for your highly efficient residual material processing – from planning and manufacturing to after-sales service, always keeping your specific production environment in view. Where standard products are insufficient, we develop our own solutions.

The special waste is fed into the rotary drum from the front end via a conveying system. The rotating drum transports the material to the discharge end. Heat is generated from above via a burner system or hot gas to combust the combustible fraction of the special waste. The inorganic fraction remains, which can be recycled depending on the application. The combusted organic fraction in the flue gas serves for energy recovery. Depending on the calorific value, this can lead to autothermal operation, meaning the energy input can be reduced to zero.

The flue gas extracted in the inlet zone can be fed to a heat recovery system tailored to your needs. Depending on regulatory requirements, an appropriately matched flue gas cleaning system is connected downstream.
