Fit for the future with a retrofit
After more than 29 years of operation, the RTO was still in such good condition that a major German automotive manufacturer decided on a cost-effective retrofit rather than a new build.
Within a production downtime of only three weeks and under very confined conditions, the comprehensive overhaul of the system was completed on schedule.
Compliant exhaust air disposal meeting statutory requirements is thereby secured for the years ahead.

The measures
Replacement of the internal components of the heat exchanger section including container inserts, insulation and heat exchange mass
Renewal of the insulation in the combustion chamber
Replacement of seals and bearings on the patented rotary valve for continuous air distribution
